Teachers will learn about the purpose of federal Teaching American History grants and about the objectives of the Ohio as America project. We will take a look at the schedules for Summer Institute and the grant year and review the benefits and responsibiliites of grant participants.
Dr. Greg Wilson will discuss the 2010-2011 theme of Technology and Economic Change and how this year's historic site visits and seminars are relevant to that theme and to grade-level Ohio Academic Content Standards.
Pat Clayton will present model unit plans and discuss teaching strategies and lesson plan development using a backward design approach.
